Focus

Trees
Trees and other plants cool and cleanse the air, increase property values, break harsh winds, and provide habitat for wildlife and recreation.
Trees and plants absorb and remove contaminants from soil and groundwater. EPA is even planting fast-growing trees and shrubs to help clean up pollution at some Superfund sites.
Especially after our recent hurricanes it is important to not only preserved our existing stock of trees but to increment that stock to compensate for mother nature’s wrath.

Trash
Anti-litter programs have been a major focus of KOCB since it’s inception a decade ago.
In cooperation with the Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce and the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce, KOCB is proud to support the Adopt-A-Street program as designed by the Texas Dept. of Transportation. KOCB is working with the local government administrations to boost participation in this program.
KOCB is also leading the efforts to encourage local and county police to enforce the anti-littering laws of the State of Texas. this is a key element in getting people to understand the cost and Don’t Mess With Texas!
The Great Orange Trash-Off program started with KOCB and is now successfully continued by Shangri-La and the Stark Foundation.
