KOCB Names Workforce Solutions as Hometown Beautification Hero
Orange County is the recipient of the “Rebuild Texas Initiative” and the “National Disaster Displacement” grant which provides federal and state funds through Texas Workforce Solutions to provide jobs for people displaced by Hurricane Harvey.
Workforce Solutions obtained grants benefitting workers displaced by Harvey for jobs with municipalities and qualifying non-profit entities of Orange County to assist with Hurricane cleanup.
“All employees hired through the Workforce as temporary employees of the ‘Rebuild Texas Initiative’ and the ‘National Disaster Displacement Grant’ are helping make our city look better after Hurricane Harvey and are earning ‘going wages’ in doing so which goes back into the local economy” according to a Workforce representative.
